Protocol tips

Upstream tips
- Cells were cultured, seeded and later centrifuged at 450 × g for 5 minutes, and fixed with ethanol.

Publication protocol

Cell cycle was analyzed using the method of propidium iodide staining. Briefly, cells were plated in 96-well round bottom plates at a density 2×105 cells per well, centrifuged at 450 × g for 5 minutes, and fixed with ice-cold 70% ethanol for 12 hour at 4 °C. Cells were then washed with PBS and incubated with 200 μl of Guava Cell Cycle Reagent (Millipore) for 30 minutes at room temperature in the dark. Samples were analyzed on Guava EasyCyte Plus FlowCytometry System (Millipore).
