Publication protocol

otal RNA from the cells was isolated using Trizol reagent (Invitrogen, Carlsbad, CA). The isolated total RNAs were treated with DNaseI (Takara, Otsu, Japan) and then subjected to oligo-dT- and random-primed reverse transcription using ReverTra Ace (Toyobo, Osaka, Japan). Real-time RT-PCR was performed using SYBR Premix Ex Taq (Takara). The PCR reactions and analysis of mRNA expressions were performed using the CFX96 Real-Time PCR Detection System (Bio-Rad, Hercules, CA). Each procedure was performed according to the manufacturer's protocol.
