the K562 cell line (Pasteur Institute, Iran) was cultivated in RPMI 1640 (Sigma-Aldrich, USA) medium supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS, Gibco, UK), 100 U/ml streptomycin, 100 U/ml penicillin, and 0.2 mmol/L-glutamine (Gibco, UK) at 37˚C in a humidified incubator with a 5% CO2 atmosphere. Cells (1×105cells per ml) were cultured for five days and passaged every two days to maintain a log phase growth.
