- To capture a higher amount of mRNA, modify the amount of lysis buffer :ethanol (from 1:1 to 1:1.5) during the binding step.

Publication protocol

Total RNA was extracted using miRNeasy Mini Kit (Qiagen, Hilden, Germany). For miRNA quantification, 100 ng total RNA was either reverse transcribed directly using stem-loop primers [44], or was polyadenylated with polyA polymerase (NEB, Beverly, MA, USA) then reverse-transcribed with an oligo-dT adapter primer into cDNAs for quantitative real-time PCR [45].
