Protocol tips

Upstream tips
- 2 × 103 cells/well were seeded in 96 well plate.

-After 24h of serum‐deprived culture, cells were treated with test agents for a further 24 h.

- Cells were labelled BrdU solution and incubated for 2.5h

Publication protocol

3T3‐L1, NIH/3T3 or isolated rat primary preadipocytes were seeded (2 × 103 cells/well) in 96‐well plates and cultured for 24 h. To synchronize cell cycle, cells were serum‐deprived for 24 h and then treated with test agents for a further 24 h. BrdU solution (10 μM) was then added and cells were incubated for 2.5 h. The BrdU incorporation into the DNA was measured by Cell Proliferation ELISA BrdU colorimetric kit (Roche Diagnostics, Penzberg, Germany).
