Protocol tips

Downstream tips
- Absorbance was read at 490 nm

Publication protocol

Cell respiration as an indicator of cell viability and proliferation was determined using a mitochondrial-dependent reduction of 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT) to formazan using a
commercial assay kit (Abnova, Walnut, CA, US) according to the manufacturer’s instructions and absorbance read at 490 nm in a plate reader (Bio-Tek Synergy HT, Winooski, VT, US) to determine the concentration of formazan which is proportional to the number of live cells.
