Publication protocol

Cells (5×103 cells/well) were plated in 100 µL of cell culture medium in a 96-well plate. After different periods of incubation (24 and 72 h), cell proliferation was determined using the CellTiter 96® AQueous Non-Radioactive Cell Proliferation Assay (MTS; Promega, Mannheim, Germany) according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The absorbance of each well was measured using a microplate reader at 490 nm. For measuring cytotoxicity, the LDH Plus Cytotoxicity Kit (Roche) was used according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
