Protocol tips

Protocol tips
- Cells are treated with bicyclol for 24 h, or with 200 μl of bicyclol for 8,16 or 24 h before being fixed.

- Cells are fixed overnight at 4 °C

Publication protocol

"The cell cycle was analyzed by flow cytometry (FAC sort,Becton Dickinson). The cells were cultured with various concentrations of bicyclol for 24 h, or with 200 μl of bicyclol for 8,16 or 24 h, and then suspended in 70 %
ethanol and fixed overnight at 4 °C. The cells were then
treated with 20 μg/ml RNase A, followed by 25 μg/ml
propidium iodide (PI). The proportion of cells in G0/G1,
S and G2/M phases were determined by examining the
intensity of PI fluorescence with a flow cytometer using
an argon laser and 570 nm bandpass filters."
