Publication protocol

For evaluation of cell size, cells were detached with trypsin and fixed in 75% ethanol at 4°C for 15 minutes. Cells were then incubated with FxCycle propidium iodide/RNase Staining Solution (Thermo Fisher Scientific) for 30 minutes at room temperature and analyzed on a BD FACSCanto II flow cytometer to determine mean forward scatter‐height of G1‐gated cells. For analysis of cell cycle progression, the percentage of G1‐gated, M‐gated, and G2‐gated cells was determined by propidium iodide fluorescence.
