Publication protocol
cDNA was prepared using High Capacity cDNA Reverse Transcription Kit (4368814, Applied Biosystems) following the manufacturer’s protocol. RT-PCR was performed using FAST SYBR kit (4385616, Applied Biosystems) with three technical replicates and analyzed on an Applied Biosystems 7500 FAST and Real-Time PCR system. The fold change of gene expression was calculated using the 2^(-ΔΔCt) method. Primers used in qPCR are listed in Table S1C.
