Publication protocol

For immunostaining, cells were plated on cover slips in 24 well plates at a seeding density of 105 cells/well a day before the experiment. After infections, cells were fixed, permeabilized and immunostained as described by Kumar et al. [33] before analysis by confocal microscopy (TCS SP8, Leica Microsystems, Germany).
