Publication protocol

Total DNA was extracted from the adipose tissue using DNeasy Tissue Mini Kit following the manufacturer’s instructions (Qiagen, Hilden, Germany). Extracted DNA was used immediately for PCR using PCR Master Mix (Qiagen) and degenerate primer sets targeting the fiber protein gene.
