RNA isolation / purification Cells - immortalized U373

Experiment
RNA isolation / purification Cells - immortalized U373
Product
TRI Reagent® Sigma from Sigma-Aldrich
Manufacturer
Sigma-Aldrich

Protocol tips

Upstream tips
- 1-Bromo-3-chloropropane is less toxic than chloroform and its use for phase separation decreases the possibility of contaminating RNA with DNA.

- The chloroform used for phase separation should not contain isoamyl alcohol or other additives.

Publication protocol

RNA was extracted using TRI-Reagent (Sigma, St.Louis MO, USA), phenol/chloroform extraction and were purified with RNeasy spin column kit (Qiagen, Venlo, The Netherlands). cDNA synthesis was performed using the ‘Thermo Script RT-PCR System’ and random primer hexameres (Invitrogen, San Diego CA, USA).
