Publication protocol

Following treatment for 24 hours, total ribonucleic acid (RNA) from HUVEC was extracted using TRI Reagent as previous research protocol [23]. Polyacryl carrier was added to precipitate the total RNA. Extracted RNA pellet was then washed with 75% ethanol and dried prior to dissolving it in RNase and DNase free water. Extracted total RNA was assessed for its purity and quantity using Nanodrop ND-100 spectrophotometer (Wilmington DE, USA) and stored at −80°C before use.
