Publication protocol
RNA was isolated with the Fungal RNA Extraction kit from Omega according to the RB protocol with minor changes of cell disruption. Cell disruption was performed in a cell homogenizer (Retsch MM200) with glass beads (Qiagen) at 30 hits s−1 for 3 min. The isolated RNA was quantified and treated with TURBO DNA‐free kit (Ambion). RNA samples were diluted to a final concentration of 50 ng μl−1 in DEPC water.
