All different cell lines were obtained from American Type Culture Collection (ATCC), Manassas, VA, USA). Human adenocarcinoma breast cells MCF-7 were maintained in DMEM-F12 (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium (DME) and Ham's F-12 Nutrient Mixture) containing 5% newborn calf serum (NCS), 1% glutamine, 1% penicillin/streptomycin, all from Sigma-Aldrich). MDAMB-231 and MDA-MB-468 TNBC cells were cultured in DMEM-F12 (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium (DME) and Ham's F-12 Nutrient Mixture) containing 10% heat inactivated fetal bovine serum (FBS), 1% glutamine, 1% penicillin/streptomycin, all from Sigma-Aldrich (Sigma–Aldrich).
