Publication protocol

H1299 and 16HBE cells were obtained from the Cell Bank of Type Culture Collection of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Shanghai, China). The two cell lines were grown in RPMI-1640 standard culture medium containing 10% FBS (v/v), and cultured at 37°C in a humidified atmosphere consisting of 5% CO2 and 95% air. Tan IIA was dissolved in pure grade DMSO to create a 10 mM stock solution. Cells were treated with Tan IIA, or 1.25 µg DOX or 32 µM benzo(a)pyrene at 37°C for 24 h. The mom-treatment group received nothing.
