Liver were homogenized at 4°C by pestle in the buffer as previously described [14, 15]. Equal amounts of protein were run in 10% or 12% SDS-PAGE, transferred to nitrocellulose membranes and blocked in Tris-buffered saline with 0.1% Tween 20 containing 5% nonfat dry milk or BSA for 1 h at room temperature. Blots were incubated overnight at 4°C with following primary antibodies: PKCβ, total p38MAPK and total ERK (Santa Cruz Biotechnology); β-Actin, p106, p130, LC3 (Sigma, MO); RB, P-RB, PRMT5, P-ERK (Cell Signaling Biotechnology).
