Publication protocol
BPAECs were cultured in MEM supplemented with 10% FBS, non-essential amino acids, antibiotics, and endothelial growth factor. Cells in culture were maintained at 37° C in a humidified environment of 5% CO2 – 95% air. BPAECs, from passages 5 to 20 (75–90% confluence) were used in the experiments.
