	Primary human fibroblast-like synoviocytes (HFLS) and HFLS-rheumatoid arthritis (HFLS-RA) were purchased from the Culture Collections, Public Health England (PHE, Salisbury, UK). The cells were cultured in Synoviocyte Growth Medium (Culture Collections, PHE) and maintained in a humidified incubator at 37°C with 5% CO2 and filtered air.

The cells were cultured in Synoviocyte Growth Medium (Culture Collections, PHE) and maintained in a humidified incubator at 37°C with 5% CO2 and filtered air. The cells were passaged at 70% to 80% confluency and restricted to 5 passages. The cells were cultured according to Class II biohazard conditions in compliance with the Advisory Committee on Dangerous Pathogens (ACDP) and were reported to be free of all pathogens.
