Publication protocol
Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells (HUVEC) (CRL-2873™; ATCC ®, US) were grown in RPMI-1640 (Sigma-Aldrich, US) supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS) and 1% mix of antibiotics/antifungals (Sigma-Aldrich, US) in polystyrene cell culture flasks (Corning, US). The cultures were kept at 37 °C in a humidified atmosphere at 5% CO2 and removed from the flask with trypsin (Trypsin-EDTA solution; Sigma-Aldrich, US).
