-Bring all reagents and samples to room temperature (18–25 °C) before use.	-Wash by filling each well with Wash Buffer (300 µl) using a multi-channel Pipette or autowasher. Complete removal of liquid at each step is essential to good performance. After the last wash, remove any remaining Wash Buffer by aspirating or decanting. Invert the plate and blot it against clean paper towels. -Read at 450 nm immediately after adding STOP solution.

Publication protocol

The levels of keratinocyte-derived cytokine (KC), S100A8, and heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) in the BAL fluid were determined by ELISA, according to the manufacturer's instructions (R&D Systems, Abingdon, UK, for KC and HSP70 and Uscn Life Science, Wuhan, China, for S100A8). BAL levels of double-strand DNA (dsDNA) were measured using the Quant-iT Picogreen dsDNA Assay kit (Invitrogen Life Technologies, Carlsbad, CA) according to the manufacturer's protocol.
