	The human skin fibroblast cell line HFF1 (ATCC® SCRC-1041™) cells were cultured in DMEM, supplemented with 15% and 10%, respectively. Cells were transiently transfected with an 25 nM final concentration of small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) targeting IFIT1 by using Lipofectamine® 2000 (Thermo Fisher Scientific). After 24 h, cells were mock-infected or infected with CHIKV or ZIKV. siRNAs (ON-TARGETplus SMARTpool) used in this study were from Dharmacon IFIT1 (L-019616-00), and nontargeting pool (NT) was used as a negative control.
