Publication protocol

Cell cycles were analyzed by counting propidium iodide (PI)-labeled cells with aflow cytometer. Each profile was compiled from5104gated events. The populations of G1-, G2-, and S-phase cellswere determined using the Multicycle Cell Cycle Software. AnnexinV FITC and 7-AAD double staining were used to detect cellapoptosis. The methods adopted in this experiment can aid in thedetection of early apoptotic cells (Annexin Vþ/7-AADe) and lateapoptotic cells (Annexin Vþ/7-AADþ)
