	The small inhibitor duplex RNAs (siRNAs) (ON-target plus SMARTpool), siRET (human: # L-003170-00) were from Dharmacon (Lafayette, CO, USA). The siCONTROL nontargeting pool (# D-001206-13-05) was used as a negative control. Cells were transfected with 100 nM siRNAs using Dharmafect reagent according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The day before transfection, the cells were plated on 35 mm dishes at 40 % of confluence in Ham’s F12 Medium supplemented with 4 % fetal bovine serum (FBS) without antibiotics. Cells were harvested 24 and 48 h after the transfection
