	total of 1.5X 105 cells were seeded 24 hours before the experiment in antibiotic-free medium. Cells were transfected with ONTARGETplus Rat SMARTpool Ampka1 and Ampka2 siRNA (each 50 nmol/l) (Thermo Fisher Scientific, Waltham, MA) or 100 nmol/l nonspecific siRNA (Thermo Fisher Scientific) using DharmaFECT1transfection reagent. Forty-eight hours after transfection, cells were treated with 1,25(OH)2D3 (100 nmol/l) for another 24 hours and harvested.
