Publication protocol

Cellular ROS detection was performed in the presence of a cell permeant reagent, 2’,7’-dichlorofluorescein diacetate (DCFDA), using the DCFDA Cellular ROS Detection Assay Kit (Abcam). HEP3B cells (5 × 104
) treated in a 6-well plate were harvested for each sample to be analyzed with the BD FACSCalibur Flow Cytometer at excitation of 495 nm and emission of 529 nm. Percent decrease in ROS level in HEP3B cells treated with 15 µg/mL NaB was compared to nontreated cells.
