Immunohistochemical staining for CA125 in formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue samples (n = 28) was accessed, including ovarian fibroma/fibrothecoma with >250 U/mL of serum CA125 level (n = 10), ovarian fibroma/fibrothecoma with <35 U/mL of serum CA125 (n = 10), and epithelial ovarian cancer with >250 U/mL of serum CA125 (n = 8) as controls, including 2 serous, 2 mucinous, 2 endometrioid, and 2 clear cell ovarian cancers.
