Genomic DNA isolation, PCR amplification, and DNA sequencing
After 2 days of growth on YPD agar, strains were collected directly for genomic DNA isolation. Genomic DNA isolation was performed using the MasterPure Yeast DNA Purification Kit (Epicentre Biotechnologies) with minor modifications. In brief, 500 μl of glass beads (425−600 nm) and 300 μl of cell lysis solution were added to the cells to assist cell wall disruption. Others steps followed the protocol provided by the manufacturer.
